Getting Creative During a Crisis: Transforming our Mobile Store into a Community Grocery Store!

 🔥 Rise and Grind! 🔥

Today we are discussing what we have been doing to help out within our community during the Corona Virus Pandemic by getting creative within our business.

We own a small tiny home trailer that we built into a Mobile Country Store (the Pickle Patch) last season that features 200+ local, handmade, artisan food and gift products in addition to our homemade Colorado local PickleBear brand pickles.

We had a fantastic first season operating at events. Recently, seeing a need within our community in terms of grocery items that people couldn't get their hands on and older folks justifiably afraid to go to their local grocery stores due to potential spread of COVID-19 we decided to open up a small farmer's market/ grocery store in our driveway utilizing our tiny home/store trailer.

We bought several hundreds of dollars worth of grocery goods including eggs, milk, meat, rice, pasta, produce, cheese, etc...

We thought if we could give people a more remote place to shop and followed all PPE rules pertaining to the spread of the virus we could at the very least help our community by allowing them to feel safer and shop with some semblance of peace of mind.

This is a trying time for many, and we just wanted to do our part.

DISCLAIMER: WE ARE NOT TRYING TO MAKE A PROFIT OFF OF THIS SITUATION. PEOPLE ARE HURTING RIGHT NOW. GROCERY STORE SHELVES ARE BARREN MORE OFTEN THAN NOT DUE TO HOARDING. PRICE GOUGING IS RUNNING RAMPANT AROUND OUR AREA.

*WE ARE SELLING THESE ITEMS AT COST TO TRY TO MAKE OUR INVESTMENT BACK. THAT IS IT. WE ARE NOT LOOKING TO MAKE MONEY OFF OF THIS. WE WILL CONTINUE OPENING OUR STORE TO PEOPLE THROUGH THIS DISASTER TO PROVIDE MUCH NEEDED ESSENTIALS.*

We are always looking to give back to our community and this is just what we have thought of to fill a need and take care of our neighbors.

After the first day, with the virus spreading faster and faster we have decided not to man the store all day as we did in this video but to take orders through our social media accounts and have the orders ready for pick-up to anyone who would like to utilize our services at this time.

The community has come out and let us know what they needed and we have reciprocated. We have met so many new people who were not sure about the crowds at the grocery stores and showed real appreciation for what we are doing and showed up to support the idea!

If you have an opportunity to help out without spreading the virus in the following weeks we absolutely encourage you to do so! Get creative and reach out to your community to find out where you can be most effective.

The community will get behind you if your heart is in the right place. As always we hope you enjoy what we do, if you do; LIKE, COMMENT, SHARE and SUBSCRIBE to our YouTube Channel.
